Accordinng to Webster...

Family is defined as:
1 : a group of individuals living under one roof and usually under one head :
2 a : a group of persons of common ancestry : b : a people or group of peoples regarded as deriving from a common stock

Last weekend, while Ben was being GI Joe for the long weekend, I got to spend some quality time with my family! Friday: I dropped Ben off (at 6 AM....still not happy about that one) and headed "home"! We picked up my nephew from pre-school (still can't believe he's that old!), and visited my 87 year old grandmother!

It was probably the longest, but best days I've had in a while!

Even though we don't live under one roof anymore...my family means everything!

Dad and Drew

Mom and Will

My Granny's porch.
Can't get any better...

I took Will down to see the tractors!
He loves country life: donkeys, cows, goats, tractors!!

Will telling me a very interesting story...

We both actually had today off and decided we should take the girls to their favorite place, Shelby Farms! It is an awesome park that has an awesome off leash area with ponds etc! The girls can just be dogs here!!

And they're off...
(they LOVE water, so they immediately ran right to it!)

Oops....Mom and Dad didn't come this way....must go back.
(Memphis Girl is catching up with Dixie....)
Hey....how did Memphis Girl beat me?
(Mem is FAST and loves to run, so of course she couldn't let Dix beat her!)

Frolickin' in the grass...
(Shelby Farms does not mow the "wild" areas to be "eco-friendly". The girls don't mind!)

Memphis Girl thinks she's a horse the way she gallops! Too funny!

Shelby Farms also has: disc golf, fishing ponds, horse back riding, paddle boats and BISON (and other stuff too)! There are baby Bison too, but we did not get to see them today.
Big fellas...

Now, we're just waiting for it too cool down to work in our yard and cook out!

Happy Labor Day!
