I know him!!!!

Christmas Clause aka Santa 2014 was a success. There were no tears shed so that, in my book equals success!! ha!

We decided to take the boys on a Monday, in hopes that the line will be shorter. Well, we had to wait til after Hank's pt session, so that put us arriving just as everyone else got off work. Fortunately, the long line moved rather quickly and Bass Pro is pretty awesome for a 2.5 year old boy. We were in and out in about an hour, which I guess isn't bad.

We had been talking to Jack every day, multiple times per day about Santa. Jack does better when he's prepped on the events before hand. He knew exactly what he was going to ask from "Christmas Clause" (that is what he calls Santa!) and kept saying "he's nice man...not scare me", so I was hopeful that he'd sit in Santa's lap. Well...I hoped too much b/c it wasn't happening. Thankfully, Santa was patient and suggested that Ben hold Jack and take a picture that way. Santa also then took his time to talk to Jack about the scooter he wants and even got a high five!!!

Hank was not impressed. He just sat there like what on Earth is going on. No smiles, no tears, nothing.

After Santa, the boys played for a minute. And by boys, I mean Ben and Jack....ha!

You'll shoot your eye out!!

Fall Fun

(trying to catch up)

Ben and I both LOVE the fall. The cooler weather, the festivals, the food...everything. Now that we have children, fall has become better than ever! This year, we didn't get to do everything we wanted but we still had a blast.

We went to our favorite pumpkin patch, picked out our pumpkins, ran (literally...Jack was leading the way!) through a corn maze and other fun pumpkin patch things.
Fall 2014!
he could have played in there all day

We celebrated birthdays. We treated Dada to a birthday (October) breakfast at the finest Waffle House in town! I mean, you only turn 34 once...ha! It was really his choice b/c it was quick and he was exhausted after working. I turned the big 30 in November and I'm not sure how I feel about it. My celebration w/ friends is delayed due to various events in our lives, so more pics to come.
donut date with my boys...best way to start my birthday!

Jack and I went on a special date night at our Chick-fil-a. It was a "mother son date knight" theme and was super cute. They had sword balloons, a king that knighted the boys, face paint and even flowers for the moms! I can't wait to continue this.
first face paint!

I told the lady...something SMALL. I guess his whole face is small. Oh well!!

Thanksgiving was wonderful, as always. We went to B's parents for lunch and ate way too much! Jack ate his weight in corn on the cob! B's Aunt was able to make it, which was nice. Jack loves his Aunt Mimi and I know Hank will too! After a post food nap, we had to go to my parents for round two. We had a house full and it was perfect.

Thanksgiving 2014

I promise Hank wasn't that uncomfortable!

I still can't get over that the fall has come and gone. I'm looking forward to next year already!

It's beginning to look a lot like.....

So yeah, I'm just a few months behind on this here blog. Oops.

Halloween 2014 was a blast. I thought it was great with Jack, but now having two boys it is even more fun!

Jack is obsessed (to put it mildly) with Curious George. We asked him what he wanted to dress up as for Halloween and he said "George". We instantly went w/ that theme for the whole family. Hank was Hundley (the Dachshund lobby dog), I was Professor Wiseman (after all, I am a genius!) and Ben was the Man with the Yellow Hat!

We went to the church's trunk our treat the Sunday before Halloween and it was hotter than blue blazes. Jack enjoyed the hay ride and getting candy. But, wasn't huge on some of the decorated trunks.
sweet George!

waited til the last minute to find a costume, but thankfully my mom was able to make his ears

loved this one

Halloween night, it was COOOOOLD. We only hit up two streets and then called it a night. Jack made out like a bandit. He kept saying "hi neighbor" and made sure to say thank you! We came home and ate a yummy bowl of taco chilli before Ben had to go to work.

All in all...we had a fantastic Halloween!
